2024 GMC Sierra EV
GMC calls the first-ever Sierra EV “a turning point for the premium truck brand.” Joining the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and SUV, it will be the only automaker thus far to manufacture three all-electric models in the segment.
Built on the dedicated Ultium platform, the vehicle produces a whopping 754 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque via a dual-motor e4WD setup. Towing capacity is rated at a maximum 9,500 pounds, and a full charge yields approximately 640 kilometres of travel distance. Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance is trailering-capable and ready for use on nearly 650,000 kilometres of select roads across Canada and the U.S.
The interior is one of the most upscale General Motors has built to date featuring grain-matched open-pore wood, etched stainless steel, panoramic fixed glass roof and a streamlined dashboard housing a massive 16.-8 inch tablet-style infotainment display. Reservations are open now.
2023 Ford Escape
Two years into its fourth generation the Ford Escape receives a new trim and some fresh eco-friendly powertrain options.
For 2023 buyers have a choice between two 2.5 partially-electrified Atkinson-cycle engines — one is a conventional hybrid, offered in front-wheel drive only, boasting a total combined range of more than 885 kilometers. The other is a plug-in hybrid able to cover up to an estimated 60 kilometres in zero emissions mode. Both make 210 horsepower.
A sporty ST-Line grade is also being added wearing a unique black mesh grille, available full-width signature LED light bar, rear skid plate and a spoiler. A 1.5-litre EcoBoost engine is standard, or the crossover may be fitted with the aforementioned hybrid mill. An early 2023 arrival is expected.

There are several additions that a customer can request be installed prior to taking delivery like the Crew-van Package (+ $8,245) adding a rear bench providing three more passenger spaces while still allowing gear to be loaded next to and underneath the seat; or the paint protection film (+ $945) designed to shield high-usage areas from excessive wear and tear.
