The best of the 2017 Superbowl car ads

The Superbowl is the occasion for advertising agencies to put their creativity to the test and make the best of the most expensive advertisement slots on television. The event is notorious for having some of the best ads out there, ranging from visually striking to laugh-out-loud funny. The 2017 edition is no different and here are some of the best ads car makers have aired during the 51st Superbowl.

2017 Kia Niro

Melissa McCarthy in a Kia Niro, saving the world one mishap at the time. What’s not to like about this? Kudos to Kia for coming up with one of the most hilarious ad of this 2017 Superbowl.

2017 Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster

Captain America traded his monkey bars for something a little more refined with a steering wheel and biturbo V8. He then takes off in the setting sun at the wheel of the AMG GT Roadster to the sound of “Born to be wild”. What else?

Audi

Girl races soap box, beats bully, wins the race and inspires us to do anything we want. If you believe in equality, drive an Audi.

2017 Lexus IS

Lexus took the artsy path with an ad showcasing the all-new LC 500 whose character lines are replicated in the movements of a group of hip hop dancers. His legs match the shape of the headlight. Get it now?

Ford

Watch a bunch of people get stuck and then figure a way out. This is Ford’s message regarding their urban mobility solutions: stop getting stuck and “go further”.

Buick

Nobody can believe these are Buicks. If that’s a Buick, I’m a millionaire. Well, it was worth a try!

Bonus

This isn’t a car-related ad, but it sure drives you through a rollercoaster of emotions. Doesn’t Mr. Clean, with his bright blue eyes and athletic bod, make you feel slightly uncomfortable? If it hasn’t been the case until now, this should do it – at least until you understand what’s going on.
