A 200-kilowatt electric drive module sends 268 horsepower and 302 pound-feet of torque to the front wheels, and the 110-kilowatt-hour battery pack possesses a maximum range of 261 kilometres. DC fast charging is supported.

Orders are expected to open later in 2024.

The dash has been pushed forward resulting in increased passenger space, and occupants can take advantage of either Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa concierge services to control select onboard functions and home smart devices using voice commands.

ST-Line, ST and Platinum grades now have BlueCruise capability allowing hands-free highway driving. Complimentary for 90 days following vehicle purchase, it can be activated on monthly or annual plans.

Design-wise the Carnival receives a big dose of sportiness adopting a blocky grille and vertical headlamps similar to gas-free sibling the EV9. The rear tailgate is squared-off and the outgoing separated tail lamps are traded for complementary vertical lighting units joined by a full-width LED bar. Inside, an expansive 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster matches the adjacent 12.3-inch infotainment display. The second-row captain’s chairs may be swapped out for bench seating to accommodate up to eight passengers.

In addition to the carryover 3.5-litre V6 engine, a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder and 54-kilowatt electric motor hybrid setup will also be available producing 242 horsepower and 271 lb-ft of torque.
