In a smart move that injects serious performance cred into its smallest pickup, Ford Maverick has been transformed into the new “300T” project vehicle by Ford Custom Garage in tandem with Ford Performance. At the SEMA Show 2025 display, Ford revealed the 300T package, which takes the Maverick’s 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine and offers an estimated 300 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque, a healthy leap over stock.

The heart of the upgrade is pulled straight from the performance world of the Ford Mustang: the turbocharger borrowed from the Mustang’s 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine finds its way into the Maverick’s engine bay. According to Ford, the 59 mm compressor wheel (versus 53 mm on stock) is paired with a Mishimoto intercooler that is 58.8 % larger and delivers a 39.6 % reduction in intake temps and a 20.1 % lower pressure drop.

But Ford didn’t stop at power. The 300T package also reworks the chassis and styling to match. The suspension is lowered (10 mm front, 30 mm rear), and upgraded monotube dampers plus a beefed-up rear stabilizer bar (from 29.9 to 34.7 N/mm) are included to deliver sharper road manners, whether loaded down with gear or avocado-green daily driving. To give it the street-truck stance it deserves, the show vehicle rides on 20-inch Mach-E GT wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires (with Pirelli P Zero Elects recommended for street use). On the aesthetic side, the package includes unique “300T” graphics, Ford Performance badging, choice of Black or Bronze trim accents, and a bespoke vent and tailgate lettering treatment.

Ford says this is more than a one-off concept. The 300T upgrade kit is engineered to be CARB-certified and 50-state legal, and although it’s previewed as a show vehicle, the company plans to offer the version to customers through Ford Performance Parts starting in 2026. Specifically, the package is targeted at 2025 Maverick models fitted with the 2.0L EcoBoost and AWD, across XL, XLT, and Lariat trims.
For those who thought the Maverick was simply a clever, efficient compact pickup, this project flips the script. Ford evidently sees the Maverick as a canvas for personalization and performance, not just a utilitarian choice. As Matthew Simpson, Ford’s Executive Director of Accessories & Personalization, states: “The Maverick community … is the reason this package exists. We see the creativity, the passion, the ingenuity you bring to these trucks.”
