Ford “Drops” F-150 With Lobo Package

2025 Ford F-150 Lobo

The Maverick started it, and now the F-150 is taking up the Lobo reigns as well with the Lobo package for the F-150 STX trim. It sits two inches lower than a standard STX, but looks even lower thanks to a 10-piece ground appearance package. The body kit also adds a blacked-out lower grille and unique upper grille as well. A set of gloss-black 22-inch wheels ground the Lobo eve further.

Other neat touches include a unique exhaust, cowl hood with special venting plus new head- and taillights. Special badging completes the “street truck” look Ford was striving for with the F-150 Lobo as well as the Maverick Lobo.

While Lobo buyers willing to part with the $74,590 it will take to get one will be able to choose from five exterior colours (including menacing Agate Black Metallic), they will only get one engine choice – the 5.0-litre V8 available on other models in the line-up. Power is rated at 400 hp and 410 pound-feet of torque, fed to all four wheels via a 10-speed auto as well as a two-speed transfer case. It will also only be available as a Super Crew cab with 5.5-foot bed.

Those in the know will realize that means this sporty-looking truck actually doesn’t get the most powerful engine available for the F-150 – that would be the 3.5-litre twin-turbo Ecoboost V6. The reasons for this aren’t explicitly stated, but the ability to tune the V8 more easily on the aftermarket than the turbo engine (consider last year’s hi-po FP700 version of the F-150) is more in-keeping with the Lobo’s street truck vibe.

The 2025 F-150 Lobo will arrive in dealers in fall of 2025.
