As luck would have it, a recent move coincided with having two rather large vehicles from the Stellantis family. And while one might assume a Ram pickup would be the best choice for moving, the 2025 Jeep Wagoneer 4X4 proved to be the more useful companion.

While a pickup is great for taller items and bulky things like bicycles, it couldn’t match the number of boxes the cavernous Wagoneer swallowed with ease.
This is a very large eight-seater with a base price of $84,600, with options and fees bringing the final sale price of our tester to $91,785. The additional costs include $3,595 for the Commodity Group I package, which adds a host of extras such as automatic high-beam headlamp control, parallel and perpendicular park assist, second-row heated seats, a surround-view camera system, and more.

Powertrain: The Wagoneer is offered in three variants (plus three more as Wagoneer L models), all powered by a smooth and powerful twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine. Producing 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque, power is channelled through an eight-speed automatic transmission, delivering smooth acceleration and plenty of confidence on demand.
If the massive interior still isn’t enough for your needs, the Wagoneer can tow up to 4,536 kilograms (10,000 pounds), which Jeep claims is best-in-class.

Exterior: This is, essentially, a big box on wheels. While undeniably large, it carries a modern, stylish appeal. The Wagoneer features Jeep’s signature seven-slot grille—illuminated at night in this trim—ensuring its lineage is unmistakable.
The vehicle’s sheer size and crisp lines give it a commanding presence while elevating Jeep into a more premium space. The 20-inch alloy wheels with black accents complete the upscale aesthetic nicely.
Interior: That elevated experience continues inside the cabin. With seating for up to eight passengers, the Wagoneer offers generous space throughout, including a third row that’s impressively accommodating for adults. The second row also provides excellent legroom.

Materials are high quality, highlighted by perforated leather-trimmed seats that are heated and ventilated up front. The layout of the cabin is clean, with well-organized controls on the centre stack. I did occasionally fumble with the rotary gear selector, though that’s likely just a matter of familiarity.
Infotainment: Jeep’s Uconnect 5 infotainment system shines here, offering features such as satellite radio, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and the ability to connect two phones simultaneously via Bluetooth.
The standard Alpine Premium sound system includes nine speakers and a 506-watt amplifier, providing rich, immersive audio for everyone on board.

Drive: While the Wagoneer looks like it belongs in the limo line at a red-carpet gala, it’s equally capable off the beaten path thanks to its Jeep DNA. The 4×4 Quadra-Trac system and Selec-Terrain traction management system allow drivers to adapt to varying conditions effortlessly.
If the situation ever arises, it can even handle up to 24 inches of water fording—just in case adventure calls. While my time with it didn’t involve any rivers, I was nonetheless impressed by how composed it felt, never truly betraying its size—except when hunting for a parking spot.
Despite its powerful engine, the cabin remains whisper-quiet, with little noise from the road or under the hood.
Conclusion: Jeep has delivered a strong contender with the Wagoneer, taking aim at established full-size SUV competitors that live by the “bigger is better” philosophy.
The Wagoneer is a luxurious, spacious, and handsome family hauler that’s equally at home on a weekend getaway or during a cross-country move to a new adventure.
