2026 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV
Hot on the heels of the 2025 Outlander’s facelift, the 2026 flagship PHEV also receives big changes packing a larger battery, premium stereo and styling updates.
Like its gasoline sibling, the plug-in hybrid SUV sports a solid panel upper grille, smoked taillight lenses, revised bumpers and new 18-to-20-inch wheel designs on the outside, and an upgraded centre console with extra armrest storage and improved cupholders inside. A North-American-market first, the Dynamic Sound Yamaha audio system and 12.3-inch infotainment display are included across all trim levels.
The Japanese manufacturer hasn’t yet revealed battery capacity specifics or range numbers, but expect the latter to exceed the current approximately 61 kilometres of pure electric travel on a full charge.
2026 Land Rover Defender
Reintroduced in 2020, the Land Rover Defender 90, 110 and 130 is refreshed providing a more distinctive appearance and some additional tech.
While retaining a familiar shape the headlights house slightly altered signature LED elements, complemented by standard foglamps, flush-mounted darkened taillights, and different available paint colours and exterior finishes like Woolstone Green and Borasco Grey. A larger 13.1-inch screen graces the cabin.
For the first time an Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control function is being offered making tackling rough terrain an easier endeavour. On 130s an optional integrated air compressor may be equipped allowing convenient tire pressure adjustment on the fly.
2026 Ram 1500
Thanks to consumer demand, Ram brand is brand is bringing back the 5.7-litre HEMI V8 eTorque mill for 2026 model year trucks after previously transitioning to an exclusively six-cylinder lineup.
The powertrain producing 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque is sold on Tradesman, Big Horn, Express, Warlock, Sport, Laramie, Rebel, Limited and Longhorn grades. Mild-hybrid technology utilizes a belt-driven motor-generator unit, replacing a traditional alternator, which works alongside a 48-volt battery to smooth out engine start/stop and grant near-instant acceleration.
All HEMI pickups are packaged with a performance-tuned exhaust and 125-litre fuel tank.
2026 Acura Integra
Following the recent announcement that production on the Acura TLX is terminated at the end of July, the resurrected Integra will be the lone sedan in the portfolio. The silver lining is the sporty nostalgic four-door gets a mid-cycle makeover.
All grades boast a larger and more responsive nine-inch touchscreen, new dashboard trim and wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and charger support. Move up to the A-Spec grade and there’s extended ambient lighting as well.
The abovementioned A-Spec wears some fresh body aero adding black splitters to the bottom of the front bumper and side sills. A unique body-colour grille is found on Integras sprayed in Double Apex Blue Pearl, otherwise a gloss black unit is fitted.
2026 Nissan Rogue
Nissan’s compact crossover debuts a Rock Creek edition aimed at consumers of an adventurous bent.
Featuring a striking mostly black front fascia with hits of silver and Lava Red, the integrated cross bars on the tubular roof rack is capable of accommodating all kinds of gear — and the electronic kind can charged/powered via a 12-volt power outlet in the cargo area. The 17-inch satin black alloy wheels are shod in rugged 235/65/17 Falken Wild Peak all-terrain tires, and alongside a 360-degree camera off-road view and hill descent control helps get drivers anywhere they need to go.
The Rock Creek is available in four paint options: Everest White, Super Black, Boulder Gray and Baja Storm.
