2027 Slate Truck
After conquering the e-commerce space, Amazon has set its eyes on the automotive sector by backing a new American EV-maker called Slate. The fledgling manufacturer’s initial SKU is a zero-emissions pickup expected retail around $25,000 USD.

A bare-bones approach allows the truck to be priced so competitively. Available as a regular cab in one colour (slate grey) and rear-wheel drive only, buyers can opt for a 52.7 or 84.3-kilowatt-hour battery pack providing a range of approximately 241 or 386 kilometres respectively. Body panels are made out of plastic. Most of the core parts are manufactured in the U.S. to avoid existing tariffs on steel and aluminum.
Later, the company plans to offer a SUV conversion kit and other DIY upgrades. Production is expected to begin in 2026.
2026 GMC Sierra EV AT4
Good news for full-size electric pickup fans: GMC announced a rugged AT4 and mid-range Elevation grade are joining the 2026 GMC Sierra EV lineup, alongside the Denali.

Like AT4s before it, this All-Terrain 4WD variant is designed to tackle parts unknown with a lifted coil suspension boasting another two inches of ground clearance, 35-inch all-terrain tires, four-wheel steering (CrabWalk), optional MultiPro MidGate expandable bed and 120/240-volt outlets and other extras.
Exclusive to the model is Terrain mode that, when activated, adjusts torque output and traction control, and enables one-pedal driving and automatic braking to optimize performance in varying surface conditions.
2025 Lincoln Navigator Black Label
Lincoln’s flagship SUV enters its fifth generation for 2025, and will be sold in Canada for the first time in Black Label form.

The top-of-the-line vehicle takes things to the next level with additions like the Radiant Copper finishes on the grille, fender badging and 24-inch aluminum wheels. There are three themes to choose from for the interior, including Invitation, Enlighten, and Atmospheric — the latter, inspired by a stormy day, also gives the Radiator Copper treatment to select cabin pieces, as well as a Salt Crystal Grey colour on the upholstery and headliner and black flooring.
All Navigators feature Lincoln Rejuvenate, which reclines the driver’s seat and moves the steering wheel upwards, begins a heating and massage program and bathes the space in soothing fragrance, ambient lighting and relaxing sounds. Even the second-row passengers get to enjoy massaging captain’s chairs that are heated, ventilated and power adjustable. Up to eight occupants are accommodated, and a 3.5-litre V6 engine sending 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque to both axles is standard.

Genesis X Gran Convertible concept
Ever wonder what a drop-top G90 would look like? The Genesis design team answers the question with the Gran Convertible concept that debuted at the recent Seoul Mobility Show.

The front fascia is an exercise in minimalism, reducing the signature Two-Line headlights to razor-thin strips converging towards a solid crest-shaped grille. The slim and wide air intakes house 3-D mesh, resembling woven metal strings, arranged in a repeating diamond pattern. The vehicle sports a low beltline, hidden door handles, frameless windows, complex aerodynamic wheels, elongated Two-Line taillights and a gesture-activated rear trunk.
Inside, a Mediterranean olive tree theme is interpretated via olive wood veneer, olive leaf floormats and leather surfaces derived from naturally-tanned materials crafted using Italian olive oil production wastewater.
