Jeep Begins 85th Anniversary Celebrations with Wrangler 392 Moab Edition

2026 Jeep Wrangler Moab 392

If you’re a Canadian gazing longingly at Jeep dealer down south and seeing the bonkers V8 Hemi-powered Jeep Wrangler they get that we no longer do, have no fear: the Jeep Wrangler Moab 392 is here!

So named for the off-road location extraordinaire and the famous Jeep Easter Safari, the Moab 392 is the first of 12 special edition Wrangler due to come out, one every month, on the 12th of each month, for the next 12 months as part of the brand’s 85th anniversary celebrations. Yes, you’ve read that right: the Wrangler – or a version thereof, whether it be the Willys MB, the CJ-7 or the YJ – for 85 years. While we’re only learning about the Moab 392 for now, a close look at Jeep’s new Operation Airdrop ad campaign will reveal tantalizing views towards what special edition Jeeps we’ll be seeing as part of this yearlong “Twelve 4 Twelve” program.

Jeep CEO Bob Broderhof calls the Moab a “purpose-built powerhouse that delivers exceptional value and performance,” adding that it was the community clamouring for the continuation of a 6.4-litre Hemi Wrangler in the line-up.

Power is rated at 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, sent to a full-time transfer case with a 2.72:1 crawl ratio and 4.56 axle ratio. It will also get 17-inch beadlock-ready wheels and 35” off-road tires, dual mode twin exhaust for some extra punch in the aural department as well as a cold air intake.

Other defining features include a body-colour hardtop, molded fender flares and black tow hooks, which are typically either red or blue in the Wrangler world. Inside, we find Nappa leather, Alpine audio system and 12.3-inch Uconnect infotainment display.

Watch this space for the next special edition Wrangler, to be revealed on December 12.
