Shoppers across Canada who take their electric vehicles to the mall will soon benefit from an expanded charging network at one of the country’s largest property owners.
Cadillac Fairview, which owns malls and other properties, announced plans to install up to 45 new chargers at 15 locations in Canada. To do so, the company is partnering with Quebec-based AddEnergie and it’s Flo network of chargers.
Each site will feature at least three chargers, with two Level 2s and one universal fast charger.
In all, Cadillac Fairview wants to have 30 Level 2 chargers and 15 fast chargers, which give an 80-per-cent charge in just 30 minutes. If you want to extend your time at the mall, a Level 2 charger will do the same thing in three to four hours.
The new chargers will be part of the Flo network and connected to the company’s mobile app, which allows them to be located easily and allows users to track the status of their charging vehicle.
The new chargers are on top of the 60 already in place at various Cadillac Fairview locations.
