Road Test: 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto

Editor’s Note: A similar version of this story was first published in Vicarious Magazine, Issue 26.

I don’t remember breathing. I must have, because I’m still here. But when you’re behind the wheel of a 1,001-horsepower Lamborghini hybrid V12 hurtling toward the horizon in a blaze of Grigio Ha with Viola-painted brake calipers, time compresses. Logic dissolves. Breathing feels optional.

This is the 2025 Lamborghini Revuelto, and it is absurd in the best possible way.

A New Era Begins: Louder, Faster, Greener

Yes, the Revuelto is a plug-in hybrid. And no, that doesn’t make it any less of a Lamborghini. In fact, this is the first V12 HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) from Sant’Agata Bolognese, and it’s a rolling contradiction in all the right ways.

A naturally aspirated 6.5-litre V12 lives just behind your head, no turbos, no fake sounds, just pure 9,500 rpm fury. It’s paired with three electric motors: one integrated into the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and two mounted on the front axle for torque vectoring and, yes, an EV-only mode.

You can tiptoe through traffic in near silence for 10 kilometres. But let’s be honest, you won’t.

Performance Is Still the Conviction

Punch it, and the Revuelto unleashes 1,001 horsepower with a zero-to-100 km/h sprint in 2.5 seconds. Top speed? Lamborghini says, “more than 350 km/h,” which is Italian for don’t ask questions—just hold on.

Cornering is now borderline telepathic. With all-wheel drive, active aerodynamics, rear-wheel steering, and torque vectoring, it dances, no, levitates, through corners. The new carbon-fibre monofuselage chassis is rigid as an oath, yet 10 percent lighter than the Aventador’s. You feel every gram of it at speed.

The Revuelto is no longer just about brute force. It’s about trust, the faith that this machine will do things your body shouldn’t be able to survive.

Carbon, Everywhere

Our test car reads like a billionaire’s wish list: Grigio Ha paint, Nero Ade leather and Corsa Tex interior, and more exposed carbon-fibre than a motorsport museum. Upper and lower carbon-fibre packages, aerodynamic door fins, carbon kickplates, and a carbon-fibre diffuser make it a showcase of aggressive beauty. Even the floor mats feature double-stitched leather piping.

It’s over the top. It’s opulent. It’s perfect.

Interior: Fighter Jet Vibes

Inside, the Revuelto feels more spaceship than supercar. The steering wheel, inspired by the Essenza SCV12 track car, and a trio of digital displays, including one for the passenger, turn every drive into a synchronized attack on boredom.

The Sonus faber High-End Sound System provides backup entertainment for the rare moments when you’re not bathing in the howl of that V12. Heated, fully electric seats add comfort, and the cabin offers 26 mm more headroom and 84 mm more legroom than the Aventador, a generous gesture by Lamborghini standards.

A Rolling Work of Art

Brake calipers in Viola. Forged Triguero matte black wheels. Ambient RGB lighting. A carbon-fibre rear diffuser and a discreet fire extinguisher inside the cabin. It’s a machine designed not only for speed but for spectacle.

The Revuelto is a collector-grade expression of Italian excess fused with electrified brilliance.

Final Thoughts

If the Aventador was a bull in a china shop, the Revuelto is the bull that owns the shop and sells ceramics on its day off.

It may be electrified, but it hasn’t gone soft. It’s wild, loud, impossibly fast, and somehow, greener than ever. The Revuelto is proof that the future of Lamborghini isn’t a compromise. It’s a high-voltage, carbon-fibre-clad promise that performance will never be boring.
