2024 Lincoln Nautilus
Lincoln’s mid-size Nautilus is getting a makeover for 2024 boasting a new look, a fresh hybrid engine option and increased personalization.
Starting with the exterior, the SUV has chiseled headlight housings and a signature LED light bar running across a much deeper studded grille. The highlight of the reimagined interior is the massive 48-inch display spanning the entire dash, complemented by an 11-inch central touchscreen, upon which drivers can customize their desired content. Lincoln Rejuvenate is what the manufacturer calls a “digital experience” combining elements such as animation, massage, curated scents, and a relaxing soundtrack to help occupants unwind when parked.
The powertrain in the top trim levels is a fourth-generation hybrid system comprised of a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and 100-kilowatt electric motor together sending 310 horsepower to both axles. Available BlueCruise 1.2 provides more natural and human-like handsfree driving assistance and can even suggest initiating lane changes when following slow-moving traffic.
Polestar 4
While still awaiting the arrival of the Polestar 3, the EV automaker’s follow-up has already been announced: the Polestar 4.
Featuring a lower roofline than the former, this coupe-style crossover measures 4,839 millimetres long, 2,139 millimetres wide and 1,544 millimetres tall so interior space should still be adequate. Based on the Sustainable Experience Architecture platform developed by Chinese parent company Geely Holding, many of the interesting design features were first showcased on the Precept concept car— for example, separated dual blade front lamps and the rear window delete.
On the performance front, the 4 is set to be the fastest model so far in the lineup: the dual motor variants are expected to output 544 horsepower and go from 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD ZR2
The off-road-approved Chevrolet ZR2 badge finds its way onto the Silverado HD for the first time, giving the heavy-duty truck extra rugged appeal.
Sold exclusively in the 2500 Crew Cab configuration with either the 6.6-litre gasoline or Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine, there are many upgrades like a beefier suspension lifted 1.5 inches, Multimatic DSSV Dampers, bigger skid plates and 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires mounted on 18×9-inch aluminum wheels.
In addition, a special Off-Road Mode adjusts the behaviour of the throttle, transmission and anti-lock brakes, as well as traction and stability control, to optimize operation in low grip environments. Production starts in late summer.
Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio 100th Anniversary
Celebrating 100 years since the introduction of the Quadrifoglio performance brand, Alfa Romeo is releasing a Stelvio anniversary model.
The racy SUV wears a carbon fibre grille and mirror caps, and 21-inch sports alloys with gold brake calipers peeking out underneath. More carbon fibre is found throughout the cabin such as covering the instrument panel, central tunnel and door panels. A gold number “100” is embroidered next to a matching gold Quadrifoglio logo on the upholstered black dashboard.
Only 100 units of the 2024 Alfa Romeo Quadrifoglio are being made, and is expected to arrive in Q4.
